What is lavender hydrosol?

Lavender hydrosol, also known as lavender floral water, is the water fraction collected during steam distillation of Lavandula angustifolia flowering tops. As steam passes through the plant material, it carries both the essential oil and water-soluble compounds, which remain dissolved in the condensed water once the oil is separated.

Main cosmetic uses of organic lavender hydrosol
