Organic tangerine essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the fresh bark of the Citrus nobilis fruit. Tangerine is the result of the hybridization of the mandarin and the orange. In its composition, the majority presence of limonene stands out, which gives it its citric smell, and to a lesser extent, the monoterpenes γ-terpinene and α-pinene. From its high concentration of vitamin C, so important in citrus fruits, it mainly obtains its pleasant aroma.
